Typhoon Maria has shifted its track southward

As of 1200 on July 7, Typhoon Maria has shifted its track southward compared to yesterday , now projecting Tropical Storm strength winds for Okinawa but direct landfall in Taipei.  Power outages will be widespread on both islands from the interaction of torrential rains and winds.  After landfall in Fuzhou the ASEAN power grid will be disrupted for a couple of days as imports of power from China into Indochina will be restricted.  Monitor developments at www.almeriaanalytics.com/blog.
