Oscar will Bring Rain and 50 mph winds

As of November 1, thanks to the remnants of former hurricane Oscar heavy rain will move into Scotland from the west later Friday evening and persist through much of Saturday. The impacted area is shown in red and consists of: Central, Tayside and Fife, Highlands and Eilean Siar, Southwest and Lothian Borders, and Strathclyde. Rainfall totals are in the 1-3 inch levels and flooding potential is limited as are disruption to bus and train services. Strong winds will reach 50 mph in areas outlined in green over Ireland and Scotland, reaching south-west England, Wales and the north of England by Saturday evening. Follow at www.aaverde.com.
