Maria was about 300 miles from Okinawa

As of 1200 on July 9, 2018, Maria was about 300 miles from Okinawa with sustained winds of nearly 143 mph. By tomorrow evening, it is forecast to reach Okinawa with highest winds around Naha.  At that time Maria is forecast to have 130 mph winds, which are the equivalent of a strong Category 3 hurricane.
