Maria to remain a Category 1 when it landfalls in Eastern China

As of 1200 on July 9, 2018, Maria is forecast to remain a Category 1 when it landfalls Wednesday in Eastern China Between Fuzhou and Wenzhou.  Evacuations inland will impact more than 14 million people.  Power on the ASEAN Grid will be reduced as main transmission lines will be de-energized before the storms arrival during a week of extremely hot weather in Southern China.  Dod and HADR First responders can download the Verde app at the Geoint app store.
